Bristol Motor Speedway owns and manages three campgrounds located on track property that we minister to during the races. These are The Dragstrip Campground, The Landing Campground and the Medallion Motorcoach Community. A description of each with all the information can be found here. 

The Raceway Ministry team in these campgrounds comes from Higher Ground Baptist Church, 1625 Lynn Garden Drive, Kingsport, TN. 37665. The Raceway Ministry Campground Director is Henry Burch. You will find the Raceway Ministry tent located in the Dragstrip Campground between the shower house and medical trailer. Beginning on Thursday each race week, this tent is opened and the team is ready to serve at 6:00am. They provide free hot coffee, cookies, peanuts, literature and Raceway New Testament Bibles and a schedule of all race events scheduled for the week. We also encourage you to let us know if you have a need that you would like someone to pray about. You can talk with any Raceway Ministry worker at the tent or leave a request in the Prayer Box. Either way, your request will be prayed over and will be lifted up to God.

If you have an emergency medical need to arise, call 911 first and then let our team at the tent know and we will do our best to help you with the emergency. If someone in your family or group has to be taken to the hospital, the local EMS will handle that but we can and do arrange transportation for family members to the hospital if the need arises. There will also be someone from Bristol Raceway Ministries at the hospital to assist you if this is necessary.

If you have a need for golf cart transportation to / from the track due to medical / handicap needs please notify a Chaplain in the tent who will make sure the Campground Director has and arranges transportation.  We can assist you with directions to nearby grocery stores (Ex: Food City and Wal-Mart), auto part stores (Ex: Advance Auto Parts), Lowes, and nearby restaurants, etc…     

We also invite you to our worship service that begins at 9 am on Sunday for March race week and 9 am on Saturday for August race week.  The service is held beside Raceway Ministry tent providing music and a message.

For those staying in Dragstrip Campground, Medallion Campground and The Landings Campground BMS provides free shuttle van to and from the main shower house located beside the Raceway Ministry tent. In addition, BMS also provides free bus transportation to Food City (grocery store) and downtown Bristol for race week events.
